Discover the Algarve by foot! This will enable you to enjoy the natural beauty of the south and west coast of the Algarve down to the smallest detail.

You will walk coastal paths and discover the spectacular coastline of the Algarve, which feature fantastic sea views and extraordinary cliff formations that have been carved by the sea for thousands of years. On the rural walks through the surrounding areas of Silves and Loulé you will be amazed by the wide range of flora this area has to offer. The numerous bird populations in this region will accompany your walks with an amazing variety of sounds. The walk through the city centre of these two towns will leave you with a taste of the extensive history of the Algarve.

PLEASE NOTE: walks vary between 11 and 18 km, therefore this week is classified as a walking week for the experienced walker.

DAY 1 - After arrival at the airport a minibus will take you to Quinta do Rosal. Drinks followed by welcome dinner in the on site restaurant. Complimentary food pack supplied. (D)

DAY 2 – Coastal walk from Quinta do Rosal to Senhora de Rocha with a picnic lunch at Praia de Albandeira. (11 km) A visit to the local supermarket by bus before returning to Quinta do Rosal. (L)

DAY 3 – Rural walk through original Algarvean terrain followed by a visit to Loulé centre. (14 km) Lunch in a local tavern. (L)

DAY 4 – Coastal walk through the west coast nature park, featuring deserted beaches and spectacular cliffs. Picnic lunch at Praia de Vale Figueiras (16 km). (L)

DAY 5 – A walk through the historical centre of Silves with a visit to the archeological museum and the Moorish castle. Lunch in Silves, walk through Serra de Silves and the pathways along the Ilha do Rosario (18 km). (L)

DAY 6 - DAY OFF. Visit, by bus, to Lagos with optional excursion for city walk and boat trip.

DAY 7 - Coastal walk from Quinta do Rosal to Carvoeiro with a picnic lunch at Benagil on the cliff top (12 km). In the evening Farewell Gala Dinner at restaurant on site. (L,D)

DAY 8 – Departure by minibus from Quinta do Rosal to Faro airport.

2 people sharing a 2-bedroomed townhouse: €775,-

Price includes all as per description of above itinerary. Flights are not included.
We reserve the right to cancel up until one month before arrival date if the minimum number of participants has not been achieved, in which case we can offer you an individual walking program for the week including car rental.
